Allergy-friendly flowers and plants
Flowers and plants can add color to your home and also uplift your mood. However, the tiny pollen particles in plants and flowers can trigger an asthma attack, hay fever, rashes, etc. Plants pollinated by insects and birds are often found to be safer compared to wind-pollinated plants that are have lighter and smaller pollen that is more likely to become airborne and thereby be inhaled.
According to WebMD, here are a few plants and flowers that people suffering from allergies can live in harmony with:
Begonia
Cactus
Clematis
Columbine
Crocus
Daffodil
Geranium
Flowers to avoid:
Chamomile, chrysanthemums, daisies, goldenrod and ordinary sunflowers are among the worst as they produce more pollen.
