Salmon is an excellent source of omega-3 which is known for its abundant benefits to the human body. It is one of the superfoods associated with boosting lung health as well. In today’s post we’ve listed three easy recipes for you to try.

- Sprinkle the salmon fillets with a little salt. Put the wine, water, dill, parsley and shallots or onions in a sauté pan, and bring to a simmer on medium heat.
- Place salmon fillets, skin-side down on the pan. Cover.
- Cook 5 to 10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillet, or to desired done-ness. Do not overcook.
- Serve sprinkled with freshly ground black pepper and a slice or two of lemon.
Salmon, Sweet potato and broccoli chowder by Realsimple.com
- In a large, heavy saucepan, over medium heat, cook the onion in the butter until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the flour and stir until smooth. Whisk in the broth and milk, then add the sweet potato, bay leaf, thyme, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon pepper.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are just tender, about 8 minutes.
- Add the salmon and broccoli and simmer until the salmon is cooked through and the broccoli is tender, about 5 minutes more.

- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with foil. The piece of foil should be big enough to fold over and seal the fish.
- In a small bowl, add lemon juice, garlic, and melted butter. Whisk everything together.
- Place salmon on prepared baking sheet.
- Pour the butter mixture over the salmon.
- Season with salt, pepper, oregano, and red pepper flakes.
- Fold the sides of the foil over the salmon. Make sure it is well sealed so the sauce does not leak.
- Place into oven and bake until cooked for about 20-25 minutes*.
- Open the foil and broil the fish for 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn the fish!
- Remove from the oven. Using a spoon, pour some of the butter sauce left in the foil onto the salmon before serve. Then, garnish with parsley.
- Serve it with veggies, salad, rice or quinoa.
